Production restarts at tyre factory after pause

PRODUCTION has now resumed at Pirelli's Burton factory following a temporary six-day closure last month.

The tyre manufacturer confirmed that work at the Derby Road site paused from October 24 to 29 before restarting "as planned".

The shutdown was linked to wider disruption in the automotive supply chain after a major cyberattack on Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in September, which forced the car giant to halt vehicle production at several UK sites.
