Locals praise staff of freshly-opened pub after fight breaks out at venue

POLICE were called to a Derby pub with a history of violent behaviour just a month after it reopened.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire police confirmed they attended The New Pin in Chellaston after receiving a call at just after 10.15pm on Saturday, December 13.
The caller reported a fight between several people at the pub, on Swarkestone Road, and officers were sent to the location.
Upon the arrival of the police, however, the people involved in the fight had already left.
