HOW TO ΜΑΚΕ... A HOT WATER BOTTLE COVER

MAKING THE FRONT PANEL Step one Lay out one of the Main Body flannel pieces in portrait position, RS up.

Place the Pocket piece on top (it should be the same width), 6cm up from the bottom narrower edge.Step two Pin along the raw edges of the Pocket piece and sew with a zigzag stitch along those raw edges (this will be hidden later). This will become the front panel of your hot water bottle cover.

MAKING THE RIBBON TAB

Step one The Ribbon Tab will be used to thread the ribbon through at the neck of the hot water bottle. Take the Ribbon Tab flannel and fold the longer edges in by 1cm. Press to crease.

Step two Now fold the fabric in half, WS together, so that the shorter edges meet and press. Unfold, then fold the edges in to meet along the centre crease and press again. Finally, fold along the centre crease again and press. Stitch along the longer edges of the Ribbon Tab, approximately 2mm in from the folded edges.
