Eustace: Great win against on-song Swans

JOHN Eustace toasted a “fantastic” Derby County victory on Valentine's Day as a 2-0 win over Swansea City kept their hearts set on the Championship’s top six.

Derby moved into the playoff positions thanks to the win at Pride Park Stadium where goals from Rhian Brewster and Patrick Agyem-ang bagged all of the points.

“I think it is a fantastic win,” said Eustace.

“We had to find a way to win today for sure and we were up against a really good team, a really good footballing team who are in a really good moment.

“They're playing some fantastic stuff and have had some great results.

“We knew we'd have to suffer at times without the ball and it was a little bit too much in the first half.

“The disconnection from the back to the front was a little bit too big when we tried to put pressure on the ball and we were a little bit loose when we did actually win it back as well.

“But in the second half, and obviously scoring when we did, certainly settled everything down and I thought our shape after that was really good.
