A LONG-established, family-run care home in Derbyshire has been filled with festive magic, as residents, staff and the local community have been coming together for a series of heartwarming celebrations.

Care home goes all out for Christmas - family-run and full of cheer

Coxbench Hall residents getting into the Christmas spirit

Determined to make this Christmas a season of connection and joy, the team at Coxbench Hall, near Derby, curated a diverse programme of events that has seen residents enjoy series of community traditions including tractor runs, carols, theatre trips and visits to Denby pottery.

The festivities began iwith the home's Christmas fair and lights switch-on, which sees its historic hall transform into a market, welcoming stallholders selling vintage wares and jewellery. Among them was the home's own award-winning head chef, Amy Hazeldine, who swapped her apron for a stall to showcase her handmade silk flower arrangements.

A highlight has been a visit from Santa, whose grotto proved a hit with visiting children and residents alike, before he made his rounds to visit those relaxing in their rooms.
