Bus operator holds talks over lining up restrictions to avoid obstructions

DOUBLE yellow lines have been suggested for a Derby junction due to parked cars obstructing buses.

Trentbarton has held talks with Derby City Council about problems in Mickleover at the junction of Vicarage Road and Catterick Drive.

The firm says “on two occasions a Mickleover bus had to wait for a parked car to be moved”.

The city council is to launch a public consultation on proposals to put double yellow lines near the junction to prevent further incidents.

This has emerged after Mickleover councillor Alison Holmes (Con) raised traffic concerns in a planning meeting last month.

At the meeting almost 100 new homes were approved in the area.
