POLICE are appealing for information following an attempted robbery close to Derby city centre.

The incident happened when a man was approached by two others - one on an e-bike and another on foot - in Normanton Road between midnight and 12.10am on November 6.

The two men demanded the victim handover his phone and wallet and a tussle ensued close to the junction with Melbourne Street.

The man on the e-bike then rode off towards the city centre.
