Heinz Park family mourns teen girl who died in blaze that destroyed their home

A HEINZ Park family was hit with a devastating double blow during the early hours of Saturday morning I when they lost their entire livelihood in a fire and also their 15-year-old daughter, Rania Moses.

The family of nine lived in a wendy house in Angelier Street, Heinz Park, trying to make ends meet with the little they had. But now they have been forced to start over and rebuild their lives after a fire swept through their home before 2am on Saturday morning.

Shamiela Bassier explained: "My sister, who is Rania's grandmother, slept across the road at her daughter's place with the three small children because it is the month of Ramadan.

"They had a mass boeka, so Rania and her mother were the only people left in the house.
