THE body of a 32-year-old man was found lying in the middle of the road after he was gunned down in broad daylight on Saturday morning in a drive-by shooting in Lotus River.

The incident took place on the corner of Woodville Road and Second Avenue around 11.30am.
It is believed that the deceased was walking in the road when a vehicle stopped next to him and opened fire, killing him at the scene.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Malcolm Pojie confirmed that Grassy Park SAPS registered a murder case for further investigation.
