COPS have released the names and pictures of four bandiete who went on the run after escaping the holding cells at Wynberg Magistrate's Court this week.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) are on the hunt for Linda Soyeza, Mphumeleli Lufutha, Ismail George and Toufieq Damon.

The fugitives faces charges relating to the illegal possession of a gun, housebreaking and a warrant of an arrest.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Wesley Twigg explained that initially six had escaped but that two were rearrested.
