LORCAN WILLIAMS is in hot water with the BHA - and boss Paul Nicholls - after his whip use aboard Captain Bellamy at Newbury left the five-year-old facing disqualification.
The Welshman, deputising for Harry Cobden, drove Captain Bellamy to a head victory from De Kingpin in yesterday's Visit Warren Greatrex Racing At Rhonehurst EBF Stallions "NH" Novices' Hurdle.
But replays showed Williams, carrying the colours of Nicholls' principal owner, Johnny de la Hey, had struck his mount 11 times.
