McLaren dominated F1 in the late 1980s with the quickest cars and the two best drivers (right) at their disposal.

But only one could be champion every year and when Senna joined Prost at McLaren in 1988 and beat him, that lit the touchpaper.

Prost felt engine suppliers Honda were giving Senna preferential treatment, even though he won the 1989 title at Suzuka in controversial circumstances.
