Three Lions boss to plot glory from Kansas camp

THOMAS TUCHEL decided to stay in Kansas for the World Cup after admitting 'there is no place like home.'

Tuchel consulted his England players and they wanted to stay in one base this summer and fly to and from games rather than being on the road.

And those home comforts bring memories of the line in the famous movie The Wizard of Oz when Dorothy wakes from a bad dream to find herself back in Kansas.

One of Dorothy's other famous lines, to her pet dog, was: “Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore.” Well, the England players better get used to it.

England looked at various team bases yet stuck on their original favoured plan of staying in Overland Park, a city in the state of Kansas, at the £300-a-night The Inn at Meadowbrook, which is close to Kansas City, across the state line in Missouri.
