First loss for German boss a shocker

TUCH GETS SEN BURNT

THOMAS TUCHEL’S honeymoon is over.

The German wanted England to produce a performance that would leave fans smiling.

But those who spent their hard-earned cash on a June friendly at the City Ground went home frowning instead.

Puzzled by how rapid England have gone backwards under Tuchel.

The Three Lions are supposed to be heading to the World Cup as one of the favourites to win it.

But on recent evidence, they're not even guaranteed to make it to America in the first place.

This result might not have cost England vital qualification points, but the damage it did to their reputation - and that of Tuchel - could be more expensive.

England took the lead through Harry Kane, who notched his 73rd goal to become the first player in history to score in the first four matches of a Three Lions boss's reign.
