Mason’s winning mentality to help United trophy chase

MASON MOUNT is poised to make his Manchester United ‘debut’ today insisting he has the DNA to help the club get back to the top. 

Mount, who joined United from Chelsea in a £60m deal, is likely to play against Leeds in Oslo as Erik ten Hag’s side begin their pre-season campaign.

During a successful career at Chelsea, where he started out aged six, Mount won the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.

The England midfielder believes his trophy-winning mentality is ideally suited to help United – who have not won the Premier League for 10 years – become champions again.

“It’s very important,” said Mount. “I know exactly what this club is all about – it’s about winning trophies.
