RYANAIR PROFITS TAKE OFF

RYANAIR'S earnings soared after it hiked airfares and earlier aircraft deliveries helped it fly more passengers.

The low-cost airline reported a pre-tax profit of £2.6billion for the first half of the financial year, 40% higher than the same period last year.
