Time for Moore magic
-
RYAN MOORE rode SKUKUZA (1.50) when he landed a Listed event at the Curragh in June, so the fact he renews his partnership with Ed Dunlop’s horse means I will be backing the game creature at 6-1 each-way in the Group Three Strensall Stakes over nine furlongs in the opening race on the final day of York’s Ebor Festival.
The draw will play a major part in finding the winner of the 12-runner Virgin Bet Handicap over seven furlongs at Goodwood, so have a few quid each-way on hat-trick seeking GREAT ACCLAIM (2.05) who will burst out of trap two. He scored over course and distance in July and his front-running style is a major asset at this track.
Andrew Balding has captured the Sky Bet Melrose Handicap over a mile and six furlongs at York twice in the last five years, which leads me to believe TARRIANCE (2.25) is going to grab the gold.
