Salt out to be T20 top dog
PHIL SALT has his sights set on becoming the best T20 batter in the game as he bids to fire England to World Cup glory.
Salt has arrived in Sri Lanka for a three-match T20 series, which starts today, ahead of England's opening World Cup clash against Nepal in Mumbai on Sunday week.
The explosive opener has a superb T20 record for England and is second in the ICC T20 rankings behind Indian superstar Abhishek Sharma.
In 50 T20 internationals, Salt has four centuries, an average of 38.5 and a strike rate of 168.
The 29-year-old smashed a career-best 141 not out against South Africa at the end of last summer, as England became the first Test team to score more than 300 in a T20 match.

UK shouldn't be kissing up to any 'super power'
kissing up to any super power will never be good for our country, it makes us look weak, which we are, it makes us look vulnerable, which we are, our leaders and so called educated elites are blinkered, they have lived such soft lives that they can’t comprehend that the wide world still operates as it has for ever, the strong prey on the weak, to powers like china or america, international law mean as much as zebra’s lives matter means to a lion, and at least zebra’s are wise enough to herd together to defend themselves against predators they don’t walk over to them and hope the meeting will be beneficial.
