SOME people thought it was the end of an era at Manchester City.

But, as it turns out, it was just the end of an error instead.

A long and expensive one, as it happens, that is still expected to cost them the title.

But City's seven-game winless streak has come to an end along with the crisis that has engulfed Pep Guardiola.

First-half goals from Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne gave Guardiola's side a lead even they couldn't squander this time and Jeremy Doku completed the win.

De Bruyne created the first for Silva, before curling home a stunning second in a display which showed how much the champions have missed him in recent weeks.
