Current OAPs have already been means tested by their contribution to the country. Therefor all living people in this group should be paid any benefits (and it's up to the individual if they take it or not, their choice).

The oldest group living fought against the siege by the whole of occupied Europe by the Nazi forces. Their children called up at eighteen fought wars in Korea Malaya Middle East Cyprus Ireland. I don't expect the current government who spent their first 25 to 30 years in a classroom to understand this - go and live one night in the Malayan Jungle a frightening experience that stays with you forever. To think anyone would have to consider this subject demonstrates the lack of life experience and history. Bonitabill 7

ARMED FORCES Military charities warn changes to the welfare system will impact on former young soldiers facing benefit cuts, DWP will shortly see U/22yrs of age with long term illness / disability not able to claim universal credit health element despite a limited ability to work. Now apart from allegedly poor living accommodation and recruitment we see a vulnerable transition to civilian life despite their sad limited ability to work. Brian Linford Pontefract
