PENALTIES JOY AFTER SWEDEN RACED AHEAD

ENGLAND'S Lionesses scraped into the Euros semi-finals last night winning on penalties and have sparked a surge in young girls taking up football.

The defending champions were taken by surprise as Sweden made the better start, pegging England back in just the second minute. Another first-half goal saw the Swedes coasting and England on the way out.

But the Lionesses struck back with goals from Lucy Bronze and Michelle Agyemang in just three thrilling minutes to take the game into extra time.
