Nitro: 'I'm a geek!'

WITH his bulging muscles and physical presence, Gladiator Harry Aikines-Aryeetey is used to turning heads whenever he walks in a room.

But he says people shouldn't be fooled by his muscles because inside he’s a “geek”.

The father-of-one is going to be the star of the screen and the stage today with another episode of Gladiators as Nitro, as well as a live performance on the Strictly tour in Birmingham.

Harry, 37, said: “People judge me when they first see me, they just see how big I am. But actually, once the barriers drop they realise I’m just a nice person.”

And he credits the turnaround to his stint in the BBC ballroom which saw him paired with professional dance Karen Hauer.
