DAVID MOYES insists it is time Everton moved on in the hope of a better and brighter future as he prepared to say an emotional farewell to Goodison Park.
Despite all the sentimentality about closing the doors to men's football after 133 years, Moyes hopes the switch to Hill Dickinson Bramley-Moore Dock will signal a new era of success.
The iconic 53,000-capacity stadium on the banks of the Mersey will create a huge leap in revenue as Everton look to restore themselves as a major force in English football.
The Friedkin Group took over as new owners in December, Angus Kinnear started work this week as chief executive while Moyes has made a successful return as boss to steer the club away from danger and ensure they start next season in their new headquarters as a top-flight club.
