‘I’m wild about Chris... but sometimes the fur flies’

MICHAELA Strachan and Chris Packham’s onscreen chemistry has helped make the BBC’s Springwatch such a hit.

The show, which is back each weekday night on BBC2 until June 11, draws in millions of nature fans, who love the pair’s knowledge and banter.

But Michaela says it sometimes gets “heated” behind the scenes “because Chris is the scientific one and I am the soft underbelly who gets involved with the emotional storylines”.

They once locked horns over Chris’s wish to film a dead bird decomposing.
