MICKY MELLON is only the second manager to take three clubs into the Football League after Oldham's glorious comeback yesterday.

With 10 minutes of an exhilarating National League play-off final left, the Latics looked to have shot their bolt.

But two goals in as many minutes from subs James Norwood and Kian Harratt left Southend heartbroken.

Mellon (inset), who previously led Fleetwood (2012) and Tranmere (2018) into the EFL, emulated John Still's hat-trick of promotions with Maidstone, Dagenham & Redbridge and Luton.
