Lions partnership with Anderson is going places

- BY SARAH CLAPSON

DECLAN RICE has heaped praise on midfield partner Elliot Anderson for the way the Nottingham Forest player has taken to international football.

Anderson made his third successive start for his country on Thursday at Wembley - and he gave another impressive performance. With next year’s World Cup drawing ever closer, Anderson is making a Three Lions starting spot his own under Thomas Tuchel. And Rice (inset) is delighted with the relationship they have struck and believes it can only get stronger.

“He's taken it in his stride and is playing exactly how he does for his club,” said Rice.
