MIKEL ARTETA celebrates his 250th game in charge of Arsenal today - and has already mapped out the future with the Gunners hierarchy.

The Arsenal manager spent a week of the international break in America meeting with the Kroenkes to review this season, thrash out future transfer plans and who could replace Edu as sporting director.

Arteta plans to take on a hands-on approach with Jason Ayto now in interim charge following Edu's shock exit.

And as he prepares to mark a milestone against Nottingham Forest today, the Spanish coach admitted the strategy meeting showed how the club always have one eye on the next steps.
