Queen tribute is No.1 for Brits

QUEEN have been crowned the Champions of bands who inspire tribute acts.

Thy topped the charts for both Brits' fave performers and cover song with Bohemian Rhapsody scoring a massive 41% of votes.

Fake Freddie Mercuries proved even more popular with (42%) of votes in the TUI poll of favourite acts to hear in a live tribute show.

Whitney Houston's I Wanna Dance With Somebody, Fix You by Coldplay, Tina Turner's Simply the Best, and ABBA's Super Trouper, rounded out the top five songs.

Three-quarters of those asked in the survey also said they would select seeing a tribute act over going to the pub.

And a similar amount (68%) selected tribute performances as one of their favourite forms of entertainment during a trip abroad, beating out alternatives like karaoke (43%) and nightclubs (37%).
