CHELTENHAM'S return this week signals that the jumps season is well and truly underway, which is exciting for us at RaceiQ HQ as it brings us into our third season of using our jumping metrics to analyse races.

For those of you less familiar with them, we focused a lot of our time last season on developing our Jump Index metric. This is a score out of 10 to rate a horse’s ability to jump effectively in a race, and across its career, and there's one race where I think it highlights where jumping will make the difference.
