THOUSANDS of Wordle players are cheating at the word game, a boffin says. 

James Dilger, professor emeritus at New York’s Stony Brook University, discovered up to 10,000 chancers are suspiciously guessing the target word in just one attempt every day.

Players are given six attempts to guess a five-letter word.
