Ground 'safe' says Pullin

JON PULLIN pronounced the Cheltenham ground to be "safe" as he defended the state of the track in the face of criticism yesterday from JP McManus and Willie Mullins.

McManus felt the course "needed more water" as his hot favourite Fact To File was dramatically pulled out of the feature Ryanair Chase.

But Pullin responded: "We'll always be aiming to produce safe ground for all participants and I feel that we have done that today.
