CHRIS WILDER says Sheffield United's end-of-season reset has put the Blades on the brink of a place in the Championship play-off final.

The Bramall Lane boss admits Thursday 3-0 first-leg win at Bristol City has put his side, who finished the season third, in a "fabulous" position.

Yet while Wilder refuses to play down the significance of that victory, he warned any slip in standards could bring the club's Wembley hopes crashing down.

He said: "The message right the way through this play-off campaign was, 'Reset and go again,' which we have done.

"We got a fabulous result on Thursday and getting the job done.

"So we need to show all those qualities we've shown before.
