Classy Lionesses destroy the Dutch

ENGLAND'S Lionesses roared themselves back to life at the Euros - thanks to a little help from their friends.

Messages from former England players including Jill Scott and Toni Duggan helped remind defending champions England of the task at hand before they crushed Holland.

Defeat against France meant anything less than victory in their second group game would have left the Lionesses' fate out of their own hands.

But a Lauren James brace and goals from Georgia Stanway and Ella Toone put them back in control of their own destiny.

A win over Wales on Sunday will confirm England's progression to the quarterfinals, and ensure last week's defeat to France is forgotten.

Lucy Bronze has rebounded from setbacks before, with her and Alex Greenwood the only survivors from the squad that reached the semifinals of the 2015 World Cup after losing their opener.
