George holds hands up
GEORGE FORD took it on the chin as he surveyed the ruins of England's Six Nations campaign.
After a humiliating day for Steve Borthwick’s England, fly-half Ford admitted his role in the shambles that unfolded at Twickenham on Saturday against the ruthless Irish.
Ford was not the only culprit, he got jeered for two poor early kicks, but he put his head above the parapet to take ownership of the disaster.
Tack this result on to the 31-20 defeat in Scotland last week, which brought a 12match winning run to a shuddering halt, and the wheels have come off the Red Rose chariot.
