Fight on to land Jackson

ASTON VILLA are ready to battle Newcastle for the signature of Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson.

Toon boss Eddie Howe is interested in the Senegal forward-valued at £60m - as he searches for a replacement for Alexander Isak, who has made it clear he wants to quit St James’ Park to join Liverpool.

Howe will not allow that to happen until he has brought someone in and has endured a miserable summer so far, missing out on Benjamin Sesko and Hugo Ekitike.
