|April 16, 2025
MILLIONS of Brits are gearing up for the Easter holiday weekend with some traditional activities.
-

And it turns out some of our familiar national habits and traits can be good for our health as well.
As we gear up for the break, JAMES MOORE reveals how — and offers up some timely tips to make them even better for your body...
EASTER FEAST! While all that chocolate does contain lots of calories and sugar, even milk chocolate has been found to have some health benefits.
A study by the University of Aberdeen linked eating the stuff to a lower chance of developing heart disease and stroke.
Roast lamb, also traditional at Easter, could pack a bonus too as it is high in protein, zinc and blood-boosting iron.
Top tip: Work off extra calories with another tradition - DIY. Statistically, this weekend is the biggest for home improvements. It works off an average of 360 calories an hour - that is two packs of crisps.
SEASIDE TRIP: Popular since Victorian times, heading to the seaside, far right, could be the perfect activity to give your body a pep this Easter.
A study from Michigan State University found people who spent more time near water were less distressed.
