Clarke tells squad: We've Scot to take our chance

STEVE WANTS VICTORY
STEVE CLARKE is not buying into any notion that Scotland's World Cup fate is written in the stars ahead of tonight's crunch qualifier against Denmark.
The Scots have ridden their luck at times in this Group C campaign and were handed a lifeline by the Danes’ shock 2-2 draw with Belarus on Saturday, as Clarke's men lost 3-2 in Greece.
A win against Denmark at Hampden Park tonight will see Clarke’s men leapfrog their opponents to the top of the table and clinch Scotland a place at the World Cup for the first time since 1998.
But Clarke insists his players will have to make their own history, albeit with a playoff semifinal next March as an insurance policy. “There’s definitely work to do,” Clarke (inset) said. “We play the pot one team. They'll be hurting because they've missed an opportunity to win the group already.
