'ROMAN RUINS IN POND' ARE ACTUALLY 1970s PATIO

WORKMEN thought they found an ancient Roman baths under a pond - only to be told it was fly-tipped patio slabs from the 1970s.

A team restoring the pond was excited to dig up the “stone-lined and unusually symmetrical” structures.

It believed it was Roman baths dating back to the first century.
