Millie to miss Euros as issues mount for Sarina

ENGLAND defender Millie Bright has ruled herself out of selection for Euro 2025 after admitting she is “not able to give 100 per cent mentally or physically”.

Bright captained England to the World Cup final two years ago but has withdrawn from next month's tournament in a major blow to boss Sarina Wiegman.

Her decision comes after goalkeeper Mary Earps and midfielder Fran Kirby - another two of Wiegman’s Euro 2022-winning squad both retired from international duty in the space of a week.

Chelsea defender Bright pulled out of the latest Lionesses’ camp for the fixtures against Portugal and Spain to take an “extended period of recovery”.
