Gallas blasts 'new' Blues

FORMER Chelsea star William Gallas has accused the club's owners of turning the Blues into an "average club" that no one fears.

The two-time Premier League winner played at Stamford Bridge during their trophy-laden era, but that has changed under the leadership of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.

Huge sums have been spent on the squad but they have had two of their worst seasons in recent memory.

More than £1bn has gone on new talent but Gallas doesn't believe many of them would get near the Blues teams of the past.
