Girma injury fear as Chelsea are held

- BY IAN WINROW

NAOMI GIRMA hobbled out of her Chelsea debut as the WSL leaders dropped points for only the second time this season.

A calf problem had forced the world record signing to wait for her first appearance for her new club following her £900,000 switch from San Diego Wave in January.

The US defender's first appearance lasted 59 minutes before she was withdrawn.

At that point Chelsea were trailing after Brighton had fought back having fallen behind to Sandy Baltimore's 16th-minute volley.

Marisa Olislagers and Vicky Losada ensured Dario Vidosic's side reached the break ahead.
