Ben Wilson dropped Nathaniel Chalobah’s shot and Grady Diangana was Johnny-on-the-spot to bundle home. 

Just to rub salt into Coventry’s wounds, sub Brandon Thomas-Asante looked clearly offside as he made it 2-0 to send West Brom back to fifth in the Championship.

The Baggies made the better start and Kyle Bartley thundered a towering header against the post but an offside flag was raised.
