SNOOP Dogg claims that if he ever moves to the UK, it won't be to A-lister magnet the Cotswolds - but to Swansea, home of the US rapper's favourite football team.

- by SHELLEY SPADONI & THOMAS UNSWORTH

The star, 54, said: "I'm sure people are gonna try and make US celebrities moving to the Cotswolds political. But it could just be because it's a beautiful place and England is such a great country. Not everything's got to have a deeper meaning" The hip-hop legend, currently in Italy with Team USA at the Winter Olympics as a hype man and "honorary coach", added: "I hear it's a beautiful place. But if Snoop is going to buy a property anywhere in the UK it's going to be in Swansea.

"That's where my team is, and the fans are my people. It's a proper working-class city, and I feel at home there." Snoop who was joined at the club in December by fellow coowner and friend, lifestyle guru Martha Stewart is set to make his long-awaited first appearance in the stands when he pitches up to see his side play against Preston North End Tuesday.

next He told the club website: "I heard so many great things about the atmosphere, especially when we play under the lights." COACHLY The club said Snoop will appear pitchside prior to the game "to lead supporters in a pre-match display".
