Pompey Min it to win it as loan ace Yang steals show

MIDDLESBROUGH slipped off the top of the Championship table as their unbeaten start to the season came to an end at Fratton Park.

Yang Min-Hyeok scored the only goal of the game midway through the first half as Boro's problems in attack continued.

They failed to lay much of a glove on the hosts as it felt all too comfortable for Portsmouth to gain their first win in four.

Portsmouth manager John Mousinho said: "Getting the win was great and it feels like we have had a good start to the season. Results matter in this game and today we managed to get the job done."

Boro boss Rob Edwards changed things up after two consecutive draws, with four changes made from the midweek goalless clash against Stoke.
