FARKE'S WON RESPECT...NOW FOR SURVIVAL
Daily Star Sunday
|January 04, 2026
DANIEL FARKE feels that his resolute Leeds United side have won the respect of the Premier League on their return to the top flight.
Halfway through their first season back in the English elite, and unbeaten in their past six matches, Leeds are on course to meet their target of staying up.
They go into today's high-octane, cross-Pennine clash with Manchester United feeling positive about their prospects for 2026.
"We're on a good path overall," said Leeds manager Farke. "We're not in the relegation zone as it stands, we're on a good point average and we have delivered many good performances, especially in recent weeks.
"Everyone speaks with respect again about Leeds United. They know it's a tough place to go and it's a tough team to play. Each and every opponent speaks about this in this way.
