Howe relishes hostile reception
NEWCASTLE boss Eddie Howe has told his players to embrace the bus journey from Tyneside to Wearside.
It was former gaffer Glenn Roeder, who guided Newcastle to a 4-1 win over the Black Cats in 2006, who spoke of the changes in expression from a warm ovation leaving the training ground to the angry faces of Sunderland fans once the bus hits the streets of Wearside.
Speaking to journalists ahead of the highly anticipated Premier League fixture, Howe acknowledged the heightened atmosphere surrounding the trip to the Stadium of Light, including the infamous bus ride to the ground.
