PAUL PARKER has urged Man United to pull the plug on any transfer target who will only move to Old Trafford if Ruben Amorim's men qualify for the Champions League.

United are one step away from a return to Europe's elite after booking a Europa League Final date with Tottenham in Bilbao on May 21.

It could be an occasion that makes or breaks Amorim's plans to rebuild the squad he inherited in November, with Champions League cash giving him greater freedom in the market and making the club a much bigger attraction for star names.

But Red Devils legend Parker believes players will be signing for the wrong reasons if their decision hinges on the one-off clash with Spurs.
