IN ANY other country Brendon McCullum would have been out of a job by now - and he might already have lost the trust of key players like Joe Root.

Former West Indies and Bangladesh coach Stuart Law (inset) believes that McCullum (far right) and his Bazball theories are on borrowed time after England's latest Ashes flop.

Law, now head coach for Nepal, reckons that a first England win in Australia in almost 15 years last week only papers over the cracks.

"Look at McCullum's record overall and it's pretty good - but take a snapshot since 2024, and it doesn't read well at all," said the ex-Aussie international.

"That suggests there might be an element of distrust creeping in. Root is a great example.
