YOU'RE STILL SAME GERS

CELTIC boss Brendan Rodgers reckons there's been no great change in Rangers under Barry Ferguson as he gears up for his first derby showdown with the caretaker Ibrox gaffer.

- BY FRASER WILSON

YOU'RE STILL SAME GERS

Gers head across Glasgow full of belief after blazing into the quarter-finals of the Europa League on Thursday night.

But they had to do so on penalty kicks after going down 2-0 in front of their own fans in the second leg to Fenerbahce.

That has seen them land the unwanted tag as the first Rangers team in history to lose four home games on the bounce.

Amidst that run Ibrox icon Ferguson replaced sacked Philippe Clement at the helm and has led the erratic side to two wins and two defeats in his four games in charge ahead of tomorrow's derby.

The stand-in has changed formation and tinkered with personnel.

But Rodgers looking to avenge the 3-0 defeat at Ibrox in January-says he sees the same traits from his side's rivals. One of those being inconsistency.

And he reckons any judgement of Ferguson as a coach should only come further down the line.
