To quote Boris, of all folk... when the herd moves, it moves

- BY ANDY NEWPORT

Will Cavenagh Rohl the dice a second time..?

ANDREW CAVENAGH is still three weeks shy of clocking up a year in charge of Rangers.

And yet the bleary-eyed Ibrox chairman must be feeling like he's just woken up in the familiar surroundings of Bill Murray's Groundhog Day hotel room.

Just a matter of months on from being forced to scrap his first managerial pick at Ibrox after a furious fan backlash, the American tycoon now faces a huge decision on what to do with his second.

The meek collapse of Rangers' title bid at Tynecastle on Monday evening hasn't yet provoked the kind of anger and outrage that forced Cavenagh to call time on Russell Martin's disastrous tenure after only seven games in October.

But there’s no doubt some minds are already being made up where Danny Rohl is concerned.

And the growing consensus among an increasing section of the Ibrox faithful should worry the German and his Pennsylvania-based boss.

"When the herd moves, it moves." That's how former Prime Minister Boris Johnson put it when finally accepting he'd have to give up the keys to No.10 having lost the support of Tory pals.
